Quiet. Foggy. Day.

I'm not much of a fingernail nibbler, but I have a few subs out that are twisting my gut into little knots. Shimmer opened to subs again this week, and I would love to find my way into that pub. The in box has been so silent lately...

I'm cruising on the YA novel. I've hit 30K (with probably another 3K I need to go back and add to earlier parts). The book is in full third act mode, plenty of climax, and I can't seem to write fast enough to satisfy my craving to see how it all works out. I predict about 40K by the end. I don't know how folks can do those word count meters...I had no expectations when I started.

Outside: Fog. The world is quiet in north-east Kansas.

Inside: I wish I was home, locked in what Aimee calls "the man cave", writing my fingers to the bloody stubs, because today is perfect for The House Eaters.

YAY! And if you ever need a Beta reader, you know where I live.

We have thunderstorms here (and ice just north of us) I am clueless how to guestamate book lengths. I think my current one will max out at 25 K but it could be more or less. I don't know. Good luck staying in the mood once you get off work.

I love that part of a writing project, where it's all coming together nicely and fun to write! Enjoy it!

I love foggy days. It's warm and bright here today.

Y'know...the more you mention The House Eaters, the more I want to read it. So I second Ms. Gardner's comment.

Mmm I love that feeling, the one where you can't stop thinking about it even when you're in the middle of talking to someone else about something entirely unrelated. This is so going to be an amazing one.

I'm afraid I'll have to triplicate Cate and Barry's comments, although by that point, you probably won't need one.

I didn't know about Shimmer before. Looks good. Adding it to my list of mountains to climb.

I love fog. We hardly ever get it here.

Fog is awesome. At least it used to be when I'd go surfing on a foggy day. Now, having to drive in it SUCKS (and is friggin' dangerous with the moron drivers in these parts).

"The Man Cave!" LOL. My wife calls my office The Bat Cave because I usually have it very dark in there, plus I have about four TV's and monitors on at once.

Lucky gender. Somehow "woman cave" doesn't have the same ring to it : P

Jamie - the weather was most cooperative

KC - I hope to finish this weekend/early next week.

Katey - I hope it is amazing. Always have those doubts.

Natalie - don't worry, the walls are lavender.

L'emma - don't you have some lines to memorize. Achtung!
