Monday is for Monsters, Madness, and Magic

I just felt like a little alliteration today, okay?

First of all, head over to the Strange Publications blog and welcome Cate Gardner to the fold. I'm thrilled to say Strange will be publishing her short story collection, Strange Men in Pinstripe Suits and Other Curious Things. I'm speaking of magic here, folks. Magic.

As for the madness, well the NCAA Men's National Championship will be decided tonight between Butler and Duke. My estimate is about 90% of the country (that gives a shite) will be cheering for Butler. Sorry Dukies, the Bulldogs have a much better story. Maybe I'm wrong on this...I guess that would be more madness...

And monsters. Plenty of them.

Because I like monsters. In fact, I like monsters so much, I'm running a poll over in the sidebar. Your vote is appreciated through midnight (US central standard time) this Friday. Have a lovely week.

Duke had BETTER lose. A Duke loss is the only thing that will cheer me from having the Redksins acquire McNabb. boo!

I'm really looking forward to Cate's short story collection! So much weirdness in one place might tear the fabric of reality, though. Maybe you should consult with the hadron collider folks to see how they handle that sort of thing. :)

I do not watch Basketball, so I have no comment for that.

I did pop over to Strange Publication's blog. It's nice over there Aaron :D

And as for the poll... I'll be taking it momentarily.

Happy writing!
Hinny

Barry - Sorry about McNabb. Suckage.

K.C. - Black holes be damned, we're doing it!

Hinny - Thanks. Happy writing to you, too.

Jeremy - I think so.

Natalie - I've been surprised so far, but the poll is far from over.

Very excited about Cate's book!

And yeah, no doubt Duke is not getting a whole lot of support tonight. My family was torn this weekend-- WVU fans (mom, dad, etc) and Duke fans (husband-- who actually, you know, goes to school there.) Either way I was going to get an earful :D

Taking poll... now!

Cate - Of course, and thank you for taking the poll...

Michael - It will be fun, no doubt.

Katey - Me too (re: excited). Enjoy the game (if you can).
