We're All Winners

Once Upon a Time...I was an art student. Have you seen Google Art Project? Wow. Zoom in on van Gogh's The Starry Night. Amazing.

The winner of my Loathsome Reviews Contest is Mary Rajotte. Drop me a line, Mary, and claim your cash money prize. (It was another Canadian...someone will cry "foul")

Take the little poll thingy (upper right-hand corner) to help me choose where to donate January's $5.

And, don't you like it when advertisers go out of their way to be weird?

No, I will not taste the rainbow, but a dude in a giant tube sock is pretty cool.

Congrats, Mary.

Aaron, I don't know where you dig this stuff up, but I watched that on mute and it seemed all the more surreal.

Strangest commercial I've seen in ages. Must be Superbowl time...Yay for Canadian winners! Congrats to Mary Rajotte.

Google art project = awesome!

Skittle ad = what the heck?

Question: The House Eaters, YA, suitable for a ten-year-old with a reading age of 15?

Gef - I work with high school students. 'nuff said.

Alan - And we're even having a tv special about Superbowl commercials. Le sigh.

Michael - Yes, I would say so. The sexy stuff doesn't go beyond a kiss and the worst violence involves a few thrashings my poor MC receives. VT made me tone down the language, too. It's a much different book than Loathsome.

Always a good thing when commercials go out of their way to actually be entertaining.

I voted.

The Google Art Project is awesome! I zoomed in on Botticelli's Birth of Venus and could see things I can't see in my books. Woot!

Congrats, Mary!

I haven't ever tried that with Google Art, thanks for the suggestion. And this commercial is awesome. Although I am not a fan of skittles.

Have a good weekend, Aaron :)

Oh, Skittles. Really?

Thanks, Milo.

Diana - You can get closer than in the actual museums. Wild.

You too, Kara. ;)

Natalie - So shameful when candy takes advantage of the elderly.
