Hello, I'm Friday

And for the next ? weeks (as long as it takes, I suppose), you can hip-hop on over to http://borrowedsaints.blogspot.com and read installments of The Borrowed Saints. Yes, I'm posting the whole $^#&@* thing until it's out there, free for the taking.

Why?

Because I can, I suppose.

Because once upon a time, this man:

Thought it would be a good idea to record a live album in prison (with inmates as the audience), and he was right.

I find that a wee bit inspiring. The lesson? Just do it.

I've printed out chapter one. I'll probably amass a few chapters before starting to read so that I can really put my feet up and enjoy.

I hope it proves popular.

Very generous of you, Aaron. Thanks

It's acts like this that remind me why I'm a member of the Aaron Polson fan club (note to readers: for those who want the fan club member badge, go to the sidebar at the fan club's founder Cate Gardner, or my blog, or Natalie Sin's blog, or KC Shaw's blog...)

Cate - I have no idea, but I'm doing it. You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs...

Alan - I'm just a glutton for punishment.

Total noob question here: Will posting it online affect its chances of ever being picked up by a publisher? Or does that only impact online publications? Or do you not care? Or all of the above?

Barry - "But for now, I'm the Man in Black..."

Natalie - ;)

Milo - I'm not interested in finding a publisher for this work. I guess I don't care. There are writers who write for paychecks and those who wish to communicate. I guess I'm a little more of the later. Getting paid is nice. Having a voice heard (even if just by one person) is nicer. This will evolve into a full-blown post by Monday. (trust me)

I should digg your post so more people can look at it, really useful, I had a tough time finding the results searching on the web, thanks.
