I'm going to assume you don't have a dirt floor basement like my childhood home had. Hard rains flooded the basement everytime, and ol' Dad would fire up the sump pump and flush it down the driveway.
Great as a little kid who enjoyed having a temporary brook in the driveway to send paper boats down. :)
That sucks. There's no worse feeling than finding water coursing into your house. On less, of course, there's a lot of it and you want an indoor pool. Hope it doestn't take too long to bail out and sop it up (and for the insurance adjuster to get there...)

Yeah, I immediately thought of the good ol' sump pump as well.
Good luck with the dry-out.
That sucks. We practically tore up most of our yard trying to keep all the rain water from screwing up our foundation. Good luck.
Hope you find a story in the sludge. Keep dry.
Ick. Good luck with that Aaron! Raining floods suck. Watch out for swamp monsters. They like to swim in that muck.

That is scary. I hope it doesn't rise any higher.
We have fought the same battle many times this year. I feel for you. Good luck.
That blows : (
I hope everything gets dried out okay. Sounds like a real drag!
Oh gosh. Growing up in a river town, I am all too familiar with the phenomenon. Good, and very dry, vibes coming your way.
