The Perils of Living with Me

My wife found a note yesterday. She made the mistake of thinking it might be a love note left behind by her darling husband.

The first line read:

I'm a murderer, but I won't ever be able to convince anyone of that simple fact.

Looks like someone needs to keep his writing notes in a notebook, eh?

Har! I'm sure that every day you scare her in different ways. Such a romantic.

You charming beast.

Great line, Aaron also as good as when I phone an author on Friday afternoon and said, "Hello Elizabeth, It's Jar. Are you busy?"

"Well, I'm just in the middle of murdering someone, but I've got time to chat."

What can one say to that? Oh I won't keep you then...

or maybe, "Oh, sorry to disturb you!

Alan - I just can't help myself.

Mercedes - Beast, yes. Charming? The jury is still out.

Jameson - What about romancing the dead?

Thanks, Danielle.

Jarmara - Only another writer would understand.

Andrea - Of course she didn't think so...a first.

Michael - Poor woman should have allowed herself to wake up a little more before reading. (and those handcuffs are uncomfortable)

My wife finds little story notes all the time. I always know she's found one when her brow furrows and she shakes her head slowly.

Ha! Lucky that your wife and not a visiting salesman / plumber found it.

Unfortunately, the note I left behind that my wife found read "Sorry I got drunk last night and set the cat on fire with your curling iron" and was not a work of fiction.

HAHA that's brilliant. My husband and I joke about such occurrences all the time. Sometimes in company.

You can imagine the looks we get all too well, I'm sure.

Matt - Our wives are kindred spirits, then.

Cate - Let alone the mailman. He's a little too nosy for his own good...

Barry - Ha!

Katey - Oh yes, but how nice to share such moments. ;)

Who says romance is dead?

Well, your note, for one. Murderer!
