Yeah. Another "snow day" (I'm bracing for another barb from our friends on the east coast...). Hey man, we have drifts. Big drifts. ;)
Anyway. Here's what I have to offer on this WIP Wednesday: Ed's departure from our publishing venture has left me in solely in charge at Strange Publications (evil laugh). So Sand is morphing, evolving if you will, into a chapbook line. Because chapbooks are cool and so indie. Because I can. I've been toying with this idea since Ed bowed out. Guidelines are up...queries accepted in January.
Then there's the issue of our annual holiday letter. I'm going "green Christmas" on this and posting the letter as a PDF file anybody can download (right click and 'save as' or just click). Enjoy:

I don't know about snow, Aaron, but I think you'll be buried by novelettes before long! The market for longer works is minuscule. Good for you for providing another outlet.
Okay . . well . . . BIG drifts EAST coaster here . . . and my kids are home, too, and whiny bored . . . oh, I'm looking at shoveling roughly 8-10 inches of snow today with a nice thick crust of ice on top. *whimper* So there!

Ha! Let me tell you about our drifts...It's funny the news out of Toronto this morning has them crying over 5-10cm of snow. We had about 40cm on Monday.
Most places here are closed today not for snow, but because of no water. It's coming back on line now after about 5 hours.
The chapbook business sounds like a nice change.
I won't rip you for a second snow day. Heck, I wish I got two days off like that in a row.

Michael - I figure somebody has to do it. My tastes are pretty quirky, though, so we'll see what happens. No matter how many times I say "no zombies", the damn things keep coming back (yeah, bad pun).

Great news about the chapbook line! I like the bit in the guidelines about sending a copy of the collected antho to a the library of the author's choice. Good thinking, there.
