Glorious Weird Insect Deaths

After yesterday's Zombie Snails, I couldn't help posting this:

Some of the most gloriously weird insect deaths caught on film.

That was pretty cool, but I couldn't help but think about the one that will attack humans.

That's really bizarre and creepy. Any nastiness we can imagine happening to a person in the horror world already takes place in the insect world. Perhaps there should be an anthology of animal/insect horror stories...

I am so not watching that. I don't do insects. *Shudder*

Ew to the millionth degree. I don't like ants much, but stomping on them is a sufficient death.

Jamie - I wrote a story which abused the truth a little about Cordyceps (http://darkflotsam.blogspot.com/2009/06/most-unfortunate-gaffe.html)

Alan - Insects live in a whole different world of scary. Think spiders are bad? Try being a fly.

Cate - It won't hurt. Promise.

K.C. - Beautiful and weird, don'tcha think? The time-lapse video was way creepy.

Holy crap, ant face-huggers! And did they get Danny Elfman to do the music?

Truly awesome.

That's harsh.

Katey - nasty little blighters, ain't they?

Danielle - and I thought being a human was tough.

Insects are creepier than any horror movie!
