I love Russian Fairytales! When I was a little girl, I was always terrified of Baba Yaga, with her smoldering skulls, bloody dolls, and chicken leg house. Meanwhile, the Terminator didn't faze me.
Baba Yaga always makes me think of Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition". That "Hut on Fowl's Legs (Baba Yaga)" bit of it freaks me right out. (Well, half of it freaks me out, actually.)
I'm definitely gonna try the Flickr idea some time :D

I have got to bookmark that. Fantastic!
Every time I reload the page, at least one quality picture pops up.
I use Deviant Art for inspiration.
I don't think I've ever written a story about a picture. But there's a first time for everything...

Cate - of course you do. ;)
Horror Girl - just inspiration...what is happening in that picture? (you get the idea)
Mercedes - Baba Yaga is freakin' weird. I have some friends with advanced degrees in Slavic literature, and boy...they have the stories.

What a cool resource.
Thanks for the link!
Cool beans! I love photo prompts.
This is a great idea. I'm sure I did this a few times a couple of years ago, when my site had a forum...
Might have to try it again.
Nice.
I've done a couple of things inspired by pics including the very recent 'God's Piscatorial Church'.
Definitely will bookmark this (and Deviant Art).
Cheers.
Cool! I don't know that I've ever tried to write about an image, or at least not consciously. It might be fun!
Coolness. If I can ever get out of my funk, I shall use this.
Looks like a savage mammy.
I ended up with a flower, a sunset, a mouse, some tennis shoes, a cleaning bucket, a greeting card, and a truck.
I think I'm doing something wrong. Unless I write a story about a weremouse that turns into a cleaning bucket.
...weremouse...excellent
