New Story Up, Jumbled Monday

My short, "The Tiger in the Common Ground", is up at MindFlights. A sort-of fantasy tale of a boy and his imaginary friends.

Other than that, it's just another jumbled Monday. Over the weekend I tinkered with a new tale (inspired in part by the song "Hollow Hills" by Bauhaus--I've been listening to too much Bauhaus lately), read some of the 2008 Year's Best Fantasy and Horror, checked my email way too much...

I also tried to revise a couple of old stories this weekend. Rewriting might be a more pragmatic path, if I still believe the ideas have merit. I guess I've improved as a writer; I could barely stomach some of the dreck I'd written.

Here's a picture for Thanksgiving week. Don't let the kiddies see it.

We can always mine those old bits for good ideas.

Oh, that was a good story! Wow! Perfect for a melancholy rainy day.

The Sesame Street Thanksgiving pic is awesome too.

Thanks, K.C.

I could use some rain here...I'm kind of looking for some melancholy so I can finish this short story.

Great story! It's sad, but sometimes the best ones are.

One of my two-year-olds is now running around screaming, "Elmo." I'm a bad mommy. I let her see it.

Hell, that was hard to read. Better FOR being that hard to read, I reckon.

But hey, the picture made me laugh again. Haha, silly bird...
