I just received word from Kim Paffenroth that I didn't make the second round cuts for The World is Dead. Oh well. Really, it was pretty thrilling to make it out of the slush pile, with around 270 total subs.
Time to find a market for a zombie story that isn't really about zombies...
I'm at just under 15K for Rock Gods and Scary Monsters. I guess that's good. Keep on plugging away.

You are a NaNo animal. You will find a market for your story eventually, and if you don't you can tuck it into your sock drawer and when you die your kids will find it and sell it as a 'lost' Aaron story and make millions.
Making it into the second round means you've got one hot story on your hands. I got my reject back in August. Keep writing. :)
Thank goodness we have Nanowrimo to distract our ego! I'm sure our stories will find good homes, they have to be good if they made it to round two : )
Ooh, ouch on the rejection but you're sure to place it somewhere soon!
Dang, I've got to get writing. Everyone's beating me at Nano!
Yes, it is awesome just to make it to the maybe pile. Good luck with NaNo!
I like the sock drawer idea...can't I fake my death, then reap the millions...hmmmm.
What do you think my plan is. Just don't do it at the same time and we should be okay. This message will self destruct. . .yeah right.
It's a zombie story. It'll never die; just keep sending it out there!
