So I open my paper this morning and behold, on the first page two headlines slap me across the face:
Teen, 16, arrested in double homicide.
Packing heat in Lawrence.
The picture? A .22 caliber pistol. No, the picture didn't go with the double homicide article. "Packing heat in Lawrence" is the final installment of a series in which a local reporter went through the red tape to carry a concealed weapon, basically blogging about it the whole way.
Whoa...again:
Teen, 16, arrested in double homicide.
Packing heat in Lawrence.
Where's the editor at a time like this? Lawrence is a realtively peaceful place, and a double homicide is front page news in our local paper. Could somebody have exercised a little discretion and delayed the conceal-carry article?
